Spopielony is a solo project from Poland that plays a hypnagogic form of dungeon synth and this is a review of his 2019 album "Legendy" which will be released on cassette on July 26th by Funeral Trance.
Atmospheric sounding synths start off the album and also bring in a variety of many different sounding keys. The music also brings in elements of dark ambient and dungeon synth along with some programmed beats being added into some parts of the music and all of the songs are instrumentals.
At times the music also captures the atmosphere of a fantasy movie soundtrack while also having its epic moments. As the album progresses the music also starts to get more hypnotic and depressive sounding as well as adding in elements of space ambient and horror synth and most of the tracks sound very different from each other.
Spopielony plays a style of dungeon synth that is very hy[nagogic while also mixing in elements of space ambient and horror synth to create a sound of his own as well as keeping everything instrumental and the production sounds very dark.
In my opinion Spopielony is a very great sounding hypnagogic dungeon synth solos project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "ducha gor spotkanie z ksiezycem" "gwiazdy" "la mort des pauvres" and "lza w jej oku". 8 out of 10.
