Paths Of The Eternal are a solo project from Minnesota that plays dungeon synth and this is a review of his self released and self titled 2019 demo.
Atmospheric sounding synths start off the demo and they also bring in elements of dark ambient and dungeon synth. The synths also use a variety of many different sounding keys while also capturing an atmosphere that reminds me of early Mortiis and Cold Meat Industry albums from the 90's era.
All of the tracks are instrumental while all of the songs sound very different from each other and synths are the only musical instrument present on the demo. At times the music also adds in a touch of neo-classical and the songs also stick to a very slow as well a s capturing the atmosphere of a dark cavern.
Paths Of The Eternal plays a style of dungeon synth that goes back to the 90's era while still also capturing the atmosphere of the more modern artists playing this style as well as keeping everything instrumental and the production sounds very dark.
In my opinion Paths Of The Eternal are a very great sounding dungeon synth solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this demo. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Brick Walls Abundant In Lichen" and "Figures in The Glass". 8 out of 10.
