Ruit Hora is a solo project from Chile that plays a mixture of dark ambient and doom metal which is all done with synths and this is a review of his self released and self titled 2019 album.
Electronic music sounds start off the album which also adds in a touch of industrial along with a great amount of programmed beats. Vocals are mostly deep death metal growls while the music also brings in a great amount of doom metal elements without the use of any guitars being present.
Elements of dark ambient can also be heard quite a bit throughout the recording when the synths are utilized and they also bring in a variety of many different sounding keys. All of the tracks sound very different from each other while clean vocals can also be heard briefly and all of the music sticks to a slower direction.
Ruit Hora plays a musical style that takes dark ambient, industrial, doom and death metal and mixes them together to create something very original and also avoiding the use of any guitars, bass or real drums. The production sounds very dark while the lyrics cover darkness themes.
In my opinion Ruit Hora is a very great sounding mixture of dark ambient and doom emtal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this solo project. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Cancellation of Empathy" and "Internal Storm". 8 out of 10.
