This is a review of another recording from Casper, Wyoming's Concrete Jesus which shows him going for a mixture of post and death industrial and the ep was released in 2020 as a joint effort between Nailed Nazarene Industries and Yasamal Records and called "Repent Machine".
Dark sounding drones start off the ep while field recordings can also be heard briefly while the programmed beats also add in elements of post industrial and underground electronic dance music. Spoken word parts can also be heard in some parts of the recording and all of the tracks also sound very different from each other.
At times the music also adds in some powerful sounding bass while one track also starts adding in some harsh noise, power electronics and death industrial elements which also takes the music into more of a dark and brutal direction.
On this recording Concrete Jesus starts out with some more dance orientated post industrial before evolving into a more harsh death industrial direction as the ep progresses and the production also sounds very dark.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Concrete Industrial and if you are a fan of post and death industrial, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "II' and "VI". 8 out of 10.
