Potogiikraz are a solo project from Russia that plays a mixture of dark ambient, drone and noise and this is a review of his 2019 double album "Tripura Bhairavi" which was released by Nailed Nazarene Industries.
Atmospheric sounding drones and soundscapes start off the album while all 4 of the tracks are also over 50 minutes in length. Distorted power electronics are also a very huge part of the recording along with the music also get very primitive and repetitive sounding at times repeating the same sounds for long duration's of time.
All of the tracks are also instrumentals while also mixing in the atmosphere of dark ambient. Harsh noises can also be heard in the background at times as well as getting more powerful sounding as the album progresses.
Potogiikraz plays a musical style that takes dark ambient, drone and noise and mixes them together to create a sound of his own as well as keeping everything instrumental and the production also sounds very dark.
In my opinion Potogiikraz is a very great sounding mixture of dark ambient, drone and noise and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this solo project. 8 out of 10.
