Aetheric Wound are an international band with members from the Philippines and the United States that plays an occult themed version of harsh noise wall and this is a review of t heir self titled 2021 album which was released by Mutual Aid Records.
Harsh noises and power electronics start off the album while the high pitched screams also add in touches of black metal and noise/grind. The music also gets very primitive sounding at times along with the music also mixing in a decent amount of harsh noise elements and synths can also be heard in some parts of the recording.
All of the tracks also sound very different from each other while growls can also be heard in some parts of the recording. At times the music also gets very apocalyptic and chaotic sounding and the closing track is also very long and epic in length.
Aetheric Wound plays a musical style that takes power electronics, harsh noise and hnw and mixes them together to create a sound of their own. The production sounds very dark while t he songs themes focus on Enochian, Qlipthoth, Demonology and Occultism.
In my opinion Aetheric Wound are a very great sounding harsh noise wall band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album.
