Violenţă Domestică are a solo project from Austria that has had music reviewed before in this zine and on this recording plays a mixture of industrial and electronic music with soem touches of noise and this is a review of his 2021 ep "Zerfall" which was released by Teratogen.
Electronic style beats start off the ep while the synths also bring in elements of industrial and all of t he beats are also programmed. Vocals are done in a screaming style which also adds in a touch of black metal along with some guitar sounds also being utilized at times and samples are also added into some parts of the recording.
All of the tracks also sound very different from each other while the music also shows some influences of 80's and 90's era industrial. Dark sounding melodies can also b e heard in some parts of the recording along with some female vocals also being utilized briefly and at times the music also gets very apocalyptic sounding.
On this recording Violenţă Domestică moves away from the noise and experimental elements of his previous release and focuses more on the electronic and industrial side of his music. The production sounds very dark while the lyrics cover dark, depressive and suicidal themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Violenţă Domestică and if you are a fan of industrial and electronic music, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Flies on A Pile Of Shit" and "Suicide Note". 8 out of 10.
