Ajna are a musical project from the United States that plays a very isolated form of ambient soundscapes and this is a review of their 2018 album "Lucid Intrusion" which will be released in August by Cyclic Law.
Field recordings and dark soundscapes start off the album while the music also brings in ambient style synths along with most of the tracks being very long and epic in length as well as all of the songs being instrumentals.
At times the music gets very atmospheric while avant garde elements can also be heard in some parts off the recording along with all of the songs sounding very different from each other and as the album progresses guitar drones can also be heard briefly.
Ajna plays a very isolated form of ambient soundscapes while also being very experimental and keeping everything instrumental and the production sounds very dark.
In my opinion Ajna are a very great sounding isolated ambient soundscapes musical project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Scourge of Souls" "Shadow Of The Orb" "Spirits II" and "Infinitam Abyssum". 8 out of 10.
