Faction Senestre are a band from France that plays a mixture of ambient, folk and industrial and this is a review of their 2018 ep "Civilisation" which will be released on July 14th as a joint effort between Zanjeer Zani and Necrocosm Productions.
A very dark, ritualistic and avant garde sound starts off the album along with some spoken word parts a few seconds later while percussion's are used the enhance the occult atmosphere of the music and the music also brings in a great amount of dark industrial elements as well as being very experimental at times.
The music is divided into 4 different chapters while the music also mixes in dark ambient sounds and ritualistic chanting at times along with the music also capturing the militant atmosphere of dark and neo-folk and as the album progresses touches of noise are also added into the music.
Faction Senestre plays a musical style that takes ambient, industrial and folk and mixes them together to create a sound of their own, the production sounds very dark while the lyrics are written in French and are inspired by the writings of Nietzsche.
In my opinion Faction Senestre are a very great sounding mixture of ambient, folk and industrial and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. 8 out of 10.
