Die Sonne Satans is a solo project from Italy that plays a ritualistic mixture of experimental and dark ambient and this is a review of his 1993 album "Metaphora" which will be re-issued in May of 2018 by AnnapurnA".
Bells along with some ambient soundscapes start off the album while the music can also get very avant garde and experimental at times along with some voices being added into the background in some parts of the music and when whispers are utilized they also add in a touch of black metal.
A great portion of the tracks are very long and epic in length while the music also has the atmospheric of a classic horror movie soundtrack at times along with some drones also being added into certain sections of the recording and as the album progresses the music starts getting more diverse as well as the music also bringing in a great amount of atmospheric sounding synths and organs and almost all of the tracks are instrumental.
Die Sonne Satans plays a musical style that takes dark ambient, experimental and avant garde organ music and mixes them together to create something very dark and ritualistic and the production sounds very dark.
In my opinion Die Sonne Satans are a very great sounding ritualistic mixture of dark ambient and experimental and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this solo project. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Body Snatcher" "Orbis" and "Cheopys". 8 out of 10.
